CONTENTS PAGE - DRAWN DRAFT

On looking over my DRAWN DRAFT of the Contents Page, i have decided that a lot of things will need to be changed. The photo of the person that will be in the bottom left corner has a guitar. THis is a problem as it does not fit with my genre as Pop music is more up beat. I might test this on my first draft to see if it works though. The Text may also be moved so that its just on one side of the picture instead of above the picture to make it feel more ordered and compact which can make the magazine look like it has a lot in it.

CONTENTS PAGE - 1st DRAFT

I feel like this is a poor contents page and it doesnt fit into my magazine at all. The model in the photo is wearing acoustic style clothes and this is not correct for my genre and i will need to take more photos. The photo has no way been manipulated and this doesnt make it pop out and makes it look like it has been placed there. The text looks cartoony and really doesnt suit my genre.

PHOTO MANIPULATION

1 - I used the select tool in Adobe Photoshop CS6 to select the model in the photo.
2 - I then copied and pasted the cropped out version onto a new page so that i could manipulate it further.
3 - I used other tools like "Brightness and Contrast", "Vibrance" and "Colour Balance" to edit the photo and make it pop out more and get rid of the artificial lighting in the photo
4 - I then cropped the photo to fit into my Contents page

CONTENTS PAGE - 2nd DRAFT

I think this is a definite improvement from my first draft. I have made the colour scheme more conventional to my genre and fits in with the rest of my magazine. I have also changed the layout of the Contents page so that it fits my genre as it looks more chaotic. I have also changed the model photo on the page. This is because the last one was not conventional and this one suits the magazine more. I have also added pulls towards pages as this is seen in some other examples of my genre and it adds variety onto my contents page. 


CONTENTS PAGE - FINAL

In my Final improvement I decided to add the bars behind "CONTENTS" and "INSIDE THIS EDITION" This makes the Contents page feel more packed like a magazine of my genre and also to make it conventional to my Front Cover.
